Hunter Sloop is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 6-8 235 lb. frame from Concord, NC who attends Combine Academy. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, present strength proportioned throughout build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Right-handed pitcher, begins with a side step moving into a leg lift up to belt; long arm action through the backside with some whip coming through to a high three-quarters release. Works straight downhill with release, will continue to refine a replicated release point, fastball topped out at 92 mph, shows occasional sink down in the zone and able to miss bat with the pitch. Found feel for breaking ball over the course of outing, manipulates it well through the zone and able to land for strikes up to 78 mph, froze a couple batters with the pitch during time on mound. Has a feel for pitching and projects moving forward. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Tennessee.
