The Spring Hill Ambassadors Baseball Club (9u, 10u, 12u, 13u and 14u) is a faith-based player development organization focused on long-term health and success of its ball players in all aspects of life. We offer competitive opportunities to excel in the game with a positive culture of coaching and athletic training. As a club, we have 4 primary distinctives that drive our organization:
1. Faith – we love the sport and will dedicate ourselves to doing our best at what we do, but baseball does not define who we are – our faith does. We will not create tension or pressure where parents have to choose between their commitment to their church and their commitment to the team. Therefore, SATURDAY ONLY tournaments and local one-off games will be the route we take when scheduling out a season of ball.
2. Player Development – there will be an expectation that every player on the team will be dedicated to their own improvement and development. We will prioritize training in order to make this happen, and our goal is to see success defined not just by winning but also by how each player puts in work and improves over the course of time. Coaches will work with parents to help them understand the training and integrated implementation at home as well as on the field.
3. Character/Sportsmanship – we will play the game the right way, meaning our attitude and demeanor will be carried out with a high level of character, integrity, and sportsmanship, both with the opposing team as well as the umpires. Our representation is not just how well we play and compete but also the manner in which we do so. Coaches will be expected to set the standard and create a culture of excellence in all aspects of the game.
4. Personal Investment – we recognize that life does not revolve around baseball. We will work to create balance between our team schedule of practice and play/travel. However, we will have an expectation that players as well as parents will be invested in our team with time, money, and volunteering (when needed) to ensure the best possible outcome for the team as a whole.
