Manning is a two-sport star, and is the son of a former NBA basketball player, Rich Manning, a power forward who spent two seasons in the league. The younger Manning has very good athletic coordination in his projectable 6-foot-5 frame, and given his father's near seven-foot stature, he may not have yet reached his physical peak. Currently Manning throws comfortably in the low-90s, routinely touching the mid-90s while using his size to generate excellent downhill plane to home plate with sinking action on his fastball.
