Johnson is the type of hitter that makes everyone in the ballpark stop what they are doing when he comes to the plate. His right-handed power displays in batting practice are already legendary, and he has consistently shown the ability to take that power into game action against top level pitching as well. Johnson doesn’t have a classic long power hitter’s swing, either, as he’s pretty short to the ball and can make in-game swing adjustments, but has enormous leverage and strength at contact.
