Cody Hammer is a 2024 3B/RHP/1B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from East Northport, NY who attends Northport. Medium, lean current build with a good frame to build on and time to add muscularity. Primary position IF, moving pretty well on his feet and creating proper angles to make plays. Accurate glove work, a bit stiff at times and will play even better as he learns to soften he fingers as ball gets to glove. Shorter but appropriate arm action for the infield as he showed the ability to change slots based on the demand of the play. Made throws up to 72 mph across diamond. Handled the slow roller quite well. RHH working from an upright and slightly open stance well balanced in his base. High handset and high back elbow to start hands and works the barrel on a downhill path to impact. Tends to get around the ball through rotational mechanics but there is strength at impact. When he isn't steep and gets on plane the ball jumps and shows power projection. Very good student as well.

Right Handed Hitting
Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
