Hadley Long is a 2023 RHP/C, 1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Jesup, GA who attends Wayne County. Large frame with a lean build starting to show some strength in the frame. Ran a 7.86 second sixty yard dash. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with a side-step to a higher leg lift. Full arm circle before releasing from a higher slot. Direct to dish and flashed a quick arm stroke as he released with intent on every pitch. Got over the front side well and worked downhill. Fastball was up to 83 mph and mixed in a good fading changeup in the mid-70's. Also proved he could spin the breaking ball with sharp vertical actions in the low-70's to round off a legit three-pitch arsenal. Secondary Catcher, sitting up in the stance during drills. Reaching for the baseball at times as he shows urgency to get the ball out of hand. Dropped the arm slot a bit to speed things up and proved to be accurate. Recorded a pop time of 2.25 seconds. Secondary First Baseman, sitting back on the baseball a bit. Feel for the leather present as he scooped it up and worked into release. Accurate to the bag and showed off proper footwork. Right-Handed Hitter, even base with high hands to start. Works into stride before firing the hands through the zone. Proved he could get extended and drive it to the pull-side. Relies on the hands to create power and will generate even more once he gets the lower half more involved. Outstanding Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
