2022 Pitcher / Catcher Indoor Showcase
Eli Christensen is a 2024 RHP/MIF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Ankeny, IA who attends Ankeny Christian Academy. Medium athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Long and deep arm action in back, coming all the way back to an over the top arm slot, tall and fall mechanics with a long stride down the mound, has some arm whip out front. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, gets good ride over barrels up in the zone. Curveball was a nice second pitch with 12/6 depth and late biting action, had nice feel for landing the curveball and getting over it consistently. Also developing a firm change up and showed pitchability in mixing his offerings. Right handed hitter, loads his weight all the way back and doesn't get forward, uphill swing plane with a pull side approach, got the ball in the air consistently. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
