LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2023 National Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Henry McDaniels is a 2024 C/RHP, 3B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Brentwood, MO, who attends St. Louis University HS. A taller frame with a medium build. Ran a 7.75 60-yard dash. Primary catcher who started with open feet and had throws that were up in the air at second. Had a shorter arm action as he worked through release. Threw 75 mph down to second with a 2.05 pop time. A right-handed hitter with high hands and a high back elbow. Was a bit upright in his stance with a quicker leg lift into his stride. Gets the weight back as he loads up. Had a couple of solid swings producing contact to the middle of the field. Keeps a medium base with some extension through the zone. Got the barrel to a pitch and smoked it into left-center for what likely would have been a home run, got all of it. Also had a solid hard-hit single through the left side during live at-bats on the field. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher, working out of the stretch only. Had a belt-high leg lift working from a high three-quarter arm slot. He hides the ball pretty well and was able to get the fastball up into the low-80s with some downhill plane and heavy sink to it. He maintains arm speed on a changeup with some velo separation that was able to fool hitters. Had a breaking ball with an 11-5 shape to it that he showed a developing feel for during his outing. He had three pitches that he threw for strikes and was able to compete with on the mound. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
