Juan Anaya is a 2024 3B/RHP with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Odessa, TX who attends Permian. Lean athletic build with room to add more as he gets older. Ran the 60-yard dash in 7.54 seconds. Primary third baseman, showed the ability to make the routine plays, worked through the ball with soft hands but had a tendency to let the ball come. Made consistent firm accurate throws across the diamond, was clocked up to 81 mph. On the mound, the fastball sat 79-83 mph with slight cut, paired with a tight spin late breaking curveball that sat 71 mph. The ball really jumps out of his hand getting on the hitters quickly. At the plate hits from the left-side, has a slightly open stance with a simple stride. Has a quick swing with slight loft that gets in and out of the zone driving the ball with good pop to his pull side. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
