David Gordon II is a 2022 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-4 240 lb. frame from La Mesa, CA who attends Valhalla. Extra big and strong build, pretty mature physically. Primary first baseman but may have a higher ceiling on the mound. High energy delivery on the mound, opens early to the first base side, has deception to his mechanics and the ball got on hitters quickly. Threw almost all fastballs in his outing, topped out at 88 mph and got lost of swing/miss, flashed a short slider at 74 mph. More velocity there with mechanical adjustments. Left handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a big stride into contact, uppercut swing path with a pull and lift approach, has big raw juice when he squares it up. 8.35 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, is aggressive to the ball and has good hands and plenty of arm strength for the position. Good student. Named to the Southern California Prosepct Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
