Mateo Morales is a 2024 2B/C, 3B, SS with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Berkeley, CA who attends Berkeley. Features a lean, medium build with some strength in the lower half. Ran a 7.64 60-yard. Showcased fair footwork throughout infield drills with the ability to get around the ball well. Decent glove actions worked through tough hops. Fits a corner profile. Utilizes a simple swing in the box with little movement pre-pitch. Uses a direct bat path with an approach geared toward the middle of the field. Lifting the ball more often would help produce more power consistently. Has the strength in the lower half needed to drive the ball. Very good student, as well.
