Joshua Mayol is a 2024 LHP/OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Foster City, CA who attends Hillsdale. Ran a 8.10 second sixty. Primary left-handed pitcher with a medium build and room to continue to fill out as he matures. Works from the stretch only with a slight drop and drive using the lower half effectively to create momentum done the hill. Repeats the arm actions well working longer through the back hiding it well with a coil in the leg lift to a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball sat 76-81 mph with great effectiveness down in the zone working to both halves of the plate and mixing in a slurvy breaking ball that projects as well moving forward as the rest of the actions on the mound. Waits back on the ball in the outfield transferring quickly into a short arm action throwing from a lower slot with young actions. Left-handed hitter, starts even with an upright stance using a higher leg lift to trigger the swing. Weight stays on the back side through contact with the barrel working through the zone with some loft impacting balls to all fields. Excellent student. Named to the 2021 Fall Northern California Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
