Derek Santeramo is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-0 186 lb. frame from Garden City, NY who attends Garden City. Athletic build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a balanced slightly open stance with a rock back load, lift and replace front foot timer, rotational swing with some lower half torque, has some strength in his hands and flashed the ability to impact the ball when on-time. 7.61 runner who is a primary outfielder on defense. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with a short and compact arm action and a short on-line stride to the plate, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball was mostly in the upper 60's with consistent cutting action that got it off barrels, topped out at 70 mph. Also threw a soft curveball and mixed his pitches effectively.
