Jalen Ford is a 2027 OF/MIF, UT with a 5-5 150 lb. frame from Athens, GA who attends Athens Academy. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.42 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes shorter steps on the approach to the ball, fields it to his side, upper body release and can continue to incorporate additional footwork coming through the ball, gets it out of glove quickly, works with a shorter arm action through the backside, remains tall through release. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Handsy swing but shows quickness and strength in them, can continue to incorporate additional lower half into mechanics. Shows some strength off of the barrel and stays short through the zone, comfort working to the pull side. Good student.
