Luke Baginski is a 2025 C/RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from West Salem, WI who attends West Salem. Recorded a 7.51 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame with room to fill. Primary catcher, starts with open feet, gains ground well. Longer arm circle with accuracy to second in the air. Speedy hands on the transfer with a quick step and throw out of the crouch. Threw out a runner in game action. Also threw an inning on the mound. The right-handed pitcher works from a letter-high leg kick with a medium length stride down the mound. Shorter arm action with a three- quarter arm slot. Good arm speed and some whip with elasticity. Tucking front side glove to get separation in the throwing shoulder to bring arm through cleanly. Minimal effort at release. The fastball (2250 RPM) was mid-to-upper 70s and up to 80 with some arm-side run and riding life. Also mixed in a quality curveball (2401 RPM) with 11-5 shape and two-plane tilt. Tunneled the curveball well and was back footing it to left-handed hitters early in counts before pairing it with the fastball that was up and away. Could throw the curveball early in counts in zone to get ahead. Also mixed in a sinker (15-1600 RPM) that was mid-70s that he could locate in zone when behind in counts and to get strikeouts. Right-handed hitter, starts from a wider base with high hands and high back elbow, utilizes a direct stride. Separates well. Quick barrel that was on lane with a flatter swing path. Good impact to the pull-side and left-center field. Exciting player with a high ceiling. Great student.
