William Maya is a 2024 C/RHP/2B with a 5-7 170 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends Bishop Lynch. Strong compact catchers build. 7.64 runner in the sixty. Has solid defensive fundamentals behind the plate, receives the ball cleanly with soft hands, quick and compact transfers and release, feet work well, arm strength is developing but the rest of the package is solid. Also plays the infield with second base tools. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a turned in front side, swings with intent and has some hand quickness and bat speed, stays short to contact with his hands, handles the barrel well. Also pitched, throws from an over the top arm slot with a compact arm circle, stays on line down the mound. Fastball topped out at 70 mph, mostly straight, slider flashed some tilt when he was out front with it. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
