Ryan Barrett is a 2024 C/3B with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Wantagh, NY who attends Kellenberg Memorial. Medium, compact frame with some present lower half strength and room to fill out. Recorded a 7.58 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary catcher that receives from a higher, side-saddled stance with quick footwork out of the crouch, a segmented mid-line transfer and some present arm strength. Gains ground towards his target using his strong lower half and produced fairly accurate throws up to 72 mph from behind the plate during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a well-balanced, even stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and small stride into contact. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics to get the swing going and displayed a whole field approach with developing feel for the barrel. Slightly elongated, uphill swing path. Hands driven swing with occasional line drive impact, will improve with further employment of his lower half and proper swing adjustments. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
