2023 14U National Showcase
Pablo Jose Martinez is a 2027 SS/UT with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Santo Domingo, SD who attends Dominican Republic. Lean young athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. 6.99 runner in the sixty, has run 6.73 at past PG events. Primary shortstop on defense, has outstanding athletic actions, very quick first step, very aggressive working through the ball and is capable of making charging plays that few this age can, plenty of arm strength across the diamond, has all the classic Latin/Dominican shortstop footwork and flair. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a high leg raise load, has present bat speed and the ability to turn the barrel and create some pull side carry, loose and balanced swing, timing was consistent, will continue to improve offensively with additional strength and physical maturity.
