2022 Jupiter Qualifier Workout Showcase
Dariel Gomez is a 2023 SS/2B/3B with a 5-8 125 lb. frame from Yabucoa, PR. Ran a 7.14 second sixty. Primary short stop with an athletic lean build showing room to fill out moving forward. Does a nice job presenting the hands early on the infield funneling the ball into the mid line as he works into the throw with developing footwork while making accurate throws with young arm strength. Left-handed hitter, starts with a wider base taking a negative stride to trigger the swing. Showed good twitch in the hands working on a level path through the hitting zone. Has good feel for the barrel with his best contact coming to the pull side with more power to come with added strength. Excellent student.
