Michael Mumford is a 2023 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 209 lb. frame from Milton, DE who attends Cape Henlopen. Recorded an 8.22-second sixty-yard time. Large, durable frame with some present strength throughout his build. Primary first basemen, flashed some feel for actions around the bag. Deliberate foot work as he could improve his foot speed still. Developing arm strength, up to 63 mph on his throws to the bases. Secondary right-handed pitcher, full wind up working from an extended slot. Creates downhill action with his fastball, worked 60-63 mph topping out at 64 mph. Filled the zone with strikes, working both sides of the plate. Right-handed hitter, sets up with a balanced stance. Downhill swing plane with tight hands, with a rotational lower half, getting stuck on his backside at times. Worked middle of the field with brief flashes of juice to the pull side. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
