Abdiel Garcia is a 2024 C/ with a 5-10 210 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends Colegio San Juan Bosco. A bigger kid with some thickness to the build. Ran a 7.86 60-yard dash. Primary catcher who had a slightly open start with the feet. He had a shorter arm action on his throws. He had one-hop accuracy around the bag. Shorter release overall. A right0-handed hitter with a wider base, high set hands, and a high back elbow. He sets up in the box and is able to work through the zone and turn it over pretty consistently. He was able to produce line drives to the middle of the field and to the left side. Pretty consistent round of contact overall. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher who worked up to 71 mph with fastballs that had arm-side sink to them. He had a wind-up with a leg lift up around the letters, pitching from a higher slot. The arm stroke was longer, striding down the mound with a good sense of direction. Had some quick outs in his outing, flashed a changeup later in the outing.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
