Tyson Greenwood is a 2024 LHP/1B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from New Carlisle, IN who attends New Prairie. Big and physical athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Works from the stretch with a basic leg raise start, maintains nice direction down the mound, medium arm swing in back to a high 3/4's arm slot, mechanically sound delivery that enables him to throw consistent strikes. Fastball worked up to 81 mph, gets occasional arm side life and works to both sides of the plate. Slider was a well commanded pitch with consistent short biting action, change up had nice fading life. Mixed up his pitches and showed the ability to pitch backwards when he wanted to. 8.32 runner in the sixty. Plays first base when not on the mound, has an idea with his hands and fields cleanly out front, good footwork on his throws and makes accurate throws. Left handed hitter who is strong enough to impact the ball when he's squared up and on time. Excellent student. Named to the Great Lakes Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
