2022 Sunshine South Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Diego Reyes is a 2023 OF/3B with a 5-7 170 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Bridgeland. Medium frame with some physicality to the build. Ran a 7.70 second 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, short and simple actions, works harder to the ball, fields it off to the side and funnels with intent, higher release and developing arm strength that will improve throws. Also worked out in the infield, short strides to the ball, some stiffness to the actions and glove work, has an idea to adjust to and work into throws. Righthanded hitter, longer swing with some bat speed, smooth stroke on a level plane, has some strength behind it and found the barrel a consistent amount, synced up well and had a solid round. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
