Phillip Thigpen is a 2025 MIF with a 5-6 140 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Kenwood Academy. Smaller build with a compact and athletic look. Right handed hitter, hits from a pre-load set up with a back elbow start and tight hands and a simple stride into contact, has quick hands and develops some bat speed, high finish out front, is short to the ball and has feel for contact, can turn on the ball on the inside half. 7.46 runner in the sixty. Plays low to the ground on defense and works up through the ball, good feet and will have plenty of range as his speed continues to develop, second base arm strength and arm action but will be solid at that position with his lower half athleticism. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
