Mason Peters is a 2022 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Crawford, TX who attends Live Oak Classical School. Medium athletic build. Works from the stretch with a high leg raise delivery, high 3/4's arm slot, stays on top of his pitches well and repeats his mechanics and release point. Fastball topped out at 86 mph, spots it very well to both sides of the plate, mostly straight. Curveball is a solid pitch with tight spin and 1/7 shape, got in a nice rhythm of throwing CB strikes. Also developing a change up. Shortens his stride out front with runners on base and his command suffers. 7.25 runner in the sixty. Showed his arm strength very well in the outfield, has smooth athletic actions through the ball and makes accurate throws. Left handed hitter, starts with his hands tight and cocked, lift and replace front leg load, short pull oriented swing with some looseness out front. Good student.
