Nathan Matoush is a 2025 LHP/OF with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Hillsboro, IL who attends Hillsboro. A taller frame with some strength showing overall. Ran a 7.46 60-yard dash. He's a left-handed pitcher who has a quicker leg lift that was chest-high. He has a slight coil to his load on his leg kick before working downhill. He had a longer arm stroke with a three-quarters arm slot. The fastball was 81-84 T85 mph with riding life to it. He was able to mix in a 1-7 shaped curveball in the mix. The pitch had good depth to it. He located the curveball low and outside, often to lefties for success. Flashed an upper-70s changeup as well. He was rotational in his move down the mound and worked to both sides of the plate pretty effectively, challenging hitters in the zone and being able to induce swings and misses, especially on the fastball. The curveball started high and was able to land in the zone for called strikes. The changeup was shown glove side with fade, being able to kill spin and also miss bats, showing the changeup to righties early in counts for success. Overall, he created good whip to the arm with his move down the mound and was able to sequence well to mix pitches and miss bats. He threw 3.0 innings, allowed 2 hits, and punched out 5 opposing hitters. Named to 2023 Midwest Top Prospect Games TP List. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
