Seaton Thompson is a 2026 SS/RHP, 3B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from St Louis, MO who attends Ladue Horton Watkins. A taller frame with length in the lower half. Athleticism showing in the frame, with room to continue filling out. Ran a 7.73 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop who had a very sound round of defensive work at shortstop. He had a good slot on his throws and created some whip to throw across from a shorter arm action. Clean release, throwing 75 mph across. The ball comes out well with accuracy to first. He moved well up the middle and had a clean funnel to the chest throughout his round. He's a switch-hitter. As a left-handed hitter, he sets up with an even base, upright stance, and higher-set hands with the back elbow. He uses a leg lift trigger and works pull-side, producing line drives. Deeper load and was able to get on the barrel. He drove it to the backside gap at the end of his lefty swings. As a right-handed hitter, he sets up the same with direct hands and a simple operation. Worked to centerfield and backside during his round of swings as a righty. Added a hit in-game as well. Produced an 81 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher, working from the wind-up. He sidesteps into a leg lift up above the belt. Uses a higher front glove point as he gets into his move down the slope. Uses long limbs well to extend well down the mound. Showed a long and loose arm action through release. He threw the fastball for strikes, showing some occasional cut to it. A heavy barrage of fastballs, but was able to roll up outs. He also showed a curveball with some depth to it, working below the zone often, looking for whiffs. Mostly a 12-6 shape. He landed it for strikes. He threw 2.0 innings, allowed 1 hit, and struck out 2 opposing hitters. Excellent student.
