2022 13U/14U Sunshine South Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Diego Hernandez is a 2026 OF/C/SS with a 5-5 140 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Chisholm Trail. Hernandez worked from both the IF and OF over the course of the event, putting the medium projectable frame on display with additional room to continue filling out. Footwork was clean from his primary OF spot with balance through release in the mechanics ultimately topping out at 72 mph. He showcased some range in the IF with evident athleticism. Offensively, Hernandez started from a narrow compact stance with a big stride into contact for a consistent pull side of the field approach. The righty swung with intent to create lift in the bat path with tools to project on. Posted a 75 mph exit velocity. Ran a 7.62 sixty yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
