2021 Summer Northeast Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Joseph Cannizzo is a 2025 OF/RHP/1B with a 5-4 120 lb. frame from Coram, NY who attends Longwood. From a young frame, Cannizzo has tons of room to develop and fill out his build. He showcased max effort throws from the OF with a complete arm action that flashed accuracy. Cleaning up the footwork will increase velo in the future. On the mound, Cannizzo once again showed full arm mechanics and competed in the zone with a looping 12-6 curve to complement the FB. At the plate, he started from a narrow slightly open stance with compact hands inside the baseball and solid lower half rotation that produced consistent contact. Ran a 8.87 60 yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
