Tanner Turnpaugh is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Bringhurst, IN who attends Carroll. Medium frame with athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.67 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, high leg lift with compact arm stroke to 3/4 slot, will drop sidearm at times, fastball worked up to 79 mph with sink, showed slurvy breaker with good shape and spin, also flashed a changeup, did a nice job throwing strikes. Hits from even-based stance with low hand set, rocks back into bar, compact inside-out path out of launch, rotates well, stays flat through path, has some hand strength. Worked out in the outfield, charges well with balance and pace, fields cleanly working through the ball, clocked up to 79 mph on throws. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
