Ryan Vidal is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Staten Island, NY who attends Moore Catholic. Medium, projectable frame with square shoulders and plenty of time to physically mature. Primary outfielder with deliberate pace into the fielding process, a clean gather off his front foot and transitions into release with some extra steps. Carries some momentum into release and recorded fairly accurate throws up to 77 mph during drills. Will continue to improve with refinement of his defensive skills and additional strength. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Starts extremely closed with his front foot, incorporates a slightly coiled leg lift to belt height and works down the slope efficiently. Creates some deception with delivery and is fairly clean on the backside of his arm swing. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s during this outing and topped out at 75 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball flashes some natural arm-side run to it and he mixed in a slower, slurve shaped breaking ball with heavy horizontal tilt to it. Will improve with better lower half mechanics and additional velocity as he matures. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and inward hover trigger. Middle-of-the field approach with slightly downhill swing path, developing bat-to-ball skills and feel for the barrel. Incorporates rotational lower half movements to create bat speed and flashes occasional ability to impact the baseball out in front. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and physical maturity. Developing, young prospect with upside on both sides of the ball and mound. Very Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
