Dayton Howard is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-5 190 lb. frame from Kansas City, MO who attends Park Hill. Tall slender frame. Ran the 60 yard dash in 6.80 seconds. Primary outfielder, came to the ball well, showed the ability to make the routine plays, has a longer arm action with an over the top release. Still working on the accuracy but has a cannon, was clocked up to 88 mph on throws from the outfield. From the mound, throws from a high three-quarter arm slot, with a side step delivery, gets down hill easy. The fastball sat 80-86 mph with arm side run and good life. Mixed in a 12-6 tight spin curveball at 70 mph that generated some swing and misses. At the plate, hits from a wide slightly open stance with a toe tap trigger. Displayed some decent bat speed, flashed some pop, consistently hit the ball to the opposite side of the field. Great student. Was named to the National Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
