Xander Meissner is a 2024 1B/RHP with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Parker, CO who attends Legend. Long and lean athletic build with tons of room to fill in and get stronger. 8.02 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, has very good footwork and soft and sure hands, throws accurately from multiple arm slots, very good overall defensive skills for the position. Left handed hitter, has good balance in his swing with a calm shift into contact, smooth swing, tends to get too downhill in his swing plane on pitches down, best contact on pitches up, bat speed projects with additional strength. Also pitched and has a chance to develop as a two-way player, has a simple turn and throw delivery with good direction down the mound, long and loose 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 82 mph with occasional arm side running life, also gets some spin and depth on an upper 60's curveball. Key to development is simply getting stronger. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
