Sean Fanning is a 2025 1B/LHP, OF with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Smithtown, NY who attends Smithtown East. Works from a lean, wiry frame with some present athleticism. Primary first baseman, good footwork, clean funnel, shorter arm stroke, delivered accurate throws across the diamond, recorded arm strength up to 67 mph. Secondary left-handed pitcher, full wind-up delivery, coiled leg lift into balance, gets into the lower-half and works down the slope well, offers looseness to the operation, filled up the zone with the fastball, showed short arm side run and life, topped at 73 mph. Flashed a bigger curveball with gradual vertical depth to disrupt hitters. Projects for more strength and velocity as he physically matures. Left-handed hitter, starts in a wider slightly open base, high back elbow and high hand set, leg lift trigger, sinks into the lower-half well, lofted stroke, recorded an exit velocity of 71 mph. Ran a 7.80 sixty-yard dash. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
