2021 Southern California Prospect Showcase
Nick Banez is a 2022 3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Edmonds, WA who attends Meadowdale. Medium athletic build with good present strength. 7.25 runner in the sixty. Showed very well on defense at third base especially in the games, charges the ball well with nice footwork and balance, hands work well at the ball, makes accurate throws. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight spread stance with a mechanical late arm load, lifting swing with some shoulder tilt that gets him off-plane at times, swings hard and has some bat speed but still developing consistency. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
