Van Willner is a 2024 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Merion Station, PA who attends Lower Merion. Recorded a 7.87 second sixty-yard dash time. Large, square shouldered frame with some strength throughout and plenty of room to physically mature. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with high, coiled leg into balance and good usage of his lower half down the slope. Incorporates drop-and-drive lower half mechanics to drive down the mound, repeats effectively and generates good extension out in front. Fastball worked in the upper-70s to low-80s for the majority off his outing and topped out at 82 mph in this look. Displayed good command to the outer half with his fastball, flashing heavy downhill plane to it from an over-the-top arm slot. Mixed in developing breaking ball that flashes a potential swing-and-miss offering, as he continues to refine it and add more velocity. Secondary outfielder with deliberate pace into the fielding process, while showing a clean funnel out in front and online, accurate throws during drills. Displays some feel for the position and sound fundamentals throughout the defensive workout, recorded arm strength up to 79 mph. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, even base with a high hand set, high back elbow and hanging leg lift trigger. Contact oriented stroke with upward swing path and developing bat-to-ball skills. Tends to get out on front foot causing some inconsistencies with the length in-which his barrel stays in the hitting zone. Does display strength at impact when on-time and in-sync, stays through middle-of-the field with approach and will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments. Projectable, young prospect with high upside on the mound. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
