2004 National Showcase
David Adams is a well built 6'1/185 "05" INF from Margate, FL. He is a highest level college prospect and should create a lot of serious interest for the 2005 draft. Adam's has tools to play pro ball and his bat ranks right up there with anyone in his class. He's a very good defensive player with nice actions, soft hands and a strong arm. He made some "high light" plays in Tropicana Field. He runs a bit below MLB average, but he plays much faster. He hits the good pitching and hits it hard. He's an every day player who could easily end up being a college all-american. If he's not a high pick in June, he should be a high pick out of college. Based on his performance at Tropicana Field, he was the staff's pick as MVP of the National, had we named one. David is an excellent student. He was selected and attended the PG AFLAC Showcase in Baltimore and played despite having a serious ear infection that affected his sight and balance. That is David Adams for you!
