2023 New York Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Camren Piwnicki is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Newfields, NH who attends Exeter. Strong build with medium current frame, good muscle tone and a lot of time to continue growth. Primary position RHP, working with a full windup from the 1B side of rubber and displaying a simple, repeatable delivery. Separates hands at the belt and accelerates through an over-the-top arm angle. Loads well with a small inward turn at the top and is explosive down the slope creating good extension. Excellent arm speed creating easy velocity. FB heavy arsenal, with the heater peaking at 87 mph but seemed to really play much better. SL needs some refining but when on top of the pitch it showed solid rotation with two-plane shape in the mid-70s. Certainly a young arm to follow closely. Reps in the OF as well, showing some hop in his step as he worked the glove out front with a clean transfer to good crow hop. Arm plays here as well as he showed throws up to 89 mph. RHH with an upright and narrow stance, using a tight handset to work a flatter bath path to impact. Hanging trigger for timing and created consistent hard contact when properly timed. Some two-way potential here but really excelled on the bump. Elite performer in the classroom as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
