Hays Sipe is a 2023 LHP/1B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Abilene, TX who attends Wylie. Ran a 7.78 60 yard dash. On the mound, throws from an over the top arm slot. Long arm action and does a good job staying online throughout the delivery. Smooth delivery overall and hides the ball well. Nice three pitch mix with a fastball that was up to 76. Has a solid 12/6 curveball and a changeup that was around 70. Showed the ability to locate all three pitches for strikes. Good athleticism in the field with smooth hands at first base. At the plate, has a compact swing. There's some natural lift in the barrel to help him generate power. Great student in the classroom.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
