2023 New York Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Jack Service is a 2024 OF/1B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Manchester, NH who attends Trinity. Service worked exclusively from his OF spot on the day, showcasing sound glove work with an aggressive approach through the baseball and evident strength in the frame. The arm path was full with some carry behind throws up to 79 mph. Has some room to shorten up the footwork but does a nice job of creating downhill momentum. Offensively, Service started from an even base with a high back elbow and smaller leg lift trigger, flashing feel for the barrel to generate impact to the pull side of the field. He repeated the stroke well and created backspin when timed up. Posted an exit velo of 80 mph.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
