Gavin Rainey is a 2026 SS/2B with a 5-2 110 lb. frame from Salinas, CA who attends Salinas. He has a small frame with a lot of development left. Ran the sixty yard dash in 8.43 seconds. Primary shortstop that has good footwork. He made accurate throws and his arm strength will get stronger as he grows. Secondary pitcher that has a medium leg lift and a good feel for the zone. He has a medium arm action and a good presence on the mound. Offensively, he showed the ability to let the ball get deep into the hitting zone before making solid contact. He swings hard and has a pull side approach. He shows the ability to handle himself well at the plate and will only get better as he develops.
