Bailey New is a 2023 3B/RHP with a 6-2 172 lb. frame from Olympia, WA who attends Timberline. Tall, lean and athletic frame. Ran a 7.38 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman with softer hands fielding out front, footwork direct to the baseball, some ability to move laterally and an above average throwing arm with developing accuracy. Hit from an even base at the plate, rotational swing and swings with some big intent. Swing will get long but he handles the barrel well and gets impact with backspin carry on his best swings. Got to the barrel in game and collected a triple and inside the park home run on well hit baseballs to the fence. Some moving parts on the mound, changes arm angles from high three-quarter slot to a side arm slot. Upper 70's fastball with some arm side run and threw a more sweeping breaking ball to change up timing. Something to work with, it's a different look if he can throw enough strikes on the mound. Good student. Named to Northwest Prospect Top Prospect List.
