Dariel Carrion is a 2027 C/RHP/MIF with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends Middle School. Medium, broad shouldered frame with present physical strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.48 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set up behind the plate, shows lots of quickness coming out of the crouch, big arm strength on throws with carry and accuracy, quickness of release stands out; block and recover skills stood out in game, likes to throws and does so with success. Also pitched, short arm action in take back to a high three-quarters release, showed rhythm on mound, up to 80 mph and pitched heavily off of fastball; true through the zone with some downhill plane, pitched to contact. Right-handed hitter, medium base in the box with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, does a nice job of staying short to the baseball and incorporates physical strength well. Simple swing, can impact the baseball to his pull side consistently, fast bat and swings with intent while handling the barrel well. Named to the 2023 13u Perfect Game Select Festival.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
