Jackson Redd is a 2027 C/RHP, MIF, OF with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Springfield, MO who attends Willard. He has a medium frame with a stout build and present strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.56 seconds. Primary catcher that starts in a side saddle stance and does a nice job of gaining ground on his throws to second base. He has a quick transfer and does a nice job of throwing with a quick arm action, allowing him to get rid of the ball quickly. He stays low throughout the process and made nice, one-hop throws that were on the base. Secondary right-handed pitcher that utilizes simple mechanics and is smooth and under control throughout the process. He utilizes a little drop and drive in his back leg and is quick to the plate when he is working out of the stretch. He has a long, offline arm action and fires from a side arm slot that creates a little run on his fastball. He pairs his fastball with a slider with short, horizontal break. Worked out in the outfield, fielding the ball off his front foot and slightly off to the side. He has a quick release and made accurate throws to the base. Also worked out on the infield, showing quick feet and a quick release to the base. Right-handed hitter that starts in an upright stance with high hands and a high back elbow. He does a nice job of creating separation in his swing and has a longer swing through the zone. He looks to elevate and showed the ability to impact the ball to the pull side. Excellent student.
