Sehaj Malhi is a 2026 RHP/1B, OF with a 5-11 140 lb. frame from Cave Creek, AZ who attends Scottsdale Prep Academy. Features a slender build with room to add more. Primary right-handed pitcher. Utilizes a semi-windup delivery with drop and drive mechanics. Gets into the lower half well. Showed some arm speed with short arm action out of a high 3/4 slot. Hides the ball fairly well. The fastball sat 73-77 mph (2025 rpm) with some ride through the zone. Goes right at hitters with the offering. Will generate some whiffs at the top of the zone. Pairs it with a fading changeup at 64-68 mph with quality arm speed deception. Also flashed a curveball at 59-61 mph with slurve action. Will create some bite on the offering at times. Still developing command of all three offerings. Intriguing young arm. Arm strength translated to the outfield. Threw 79 mph during workouts. Fielded the ball cleanly throughout. Still developing footwork through the catchpoint. Also worked out at first base. Used an aggressive approach on ground balls. Has some range both ways. Arm strength played across the diamond. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a wide base stance with a toe tap timing mechanism. Displayed a linear path through the zone. Approach stays through the middle. More power should come as the frame continues to add strength. Ran 7.50 60-yard dash. Excellent student. Named to the 13u/14 Sunshine Southwest Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
