Ryker Shankles is a 2026 SS/RHP, C, OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Valley Head, AL who attends Fort Payne. Recorded a 7.39 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame and lean, athletic build with room to fill throughout. Primary shortstop, sound mover with fluidity to the actions, repeats well and shows confidence, hands play at the ball, shows present arm strength across the diamond on to first base, high slot on the release. Also caught, tall set up behind the plate in drills with staggered footwork, shows some actions in release with carry down to second, quick transfer, can implement additional footwork. Right-handed hitter, begins with higher hand set and lowers at start of swing, utilizes a higher leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Showed a handle for the barrel, contact oriented approach and comfort working to the middle of the field consistently, can get to the ball down in zone, projects with added strength. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
