Cooper Speers is a 2027 RHP/1B, 3B, SS with a 5-5 175 lb. frame from Independence, MO who attends Blue Springs. Recorded a 8.20 sixty-yard dash at the event. Smaller, compact frame with some proportional strength. The primary pitcher worked out of the stretch only on the mound, with a 3/4 arm slot. Had a slower pace on the mound as he worked down the slope with a longer stride. Minimal energy exerted in delivery with some heavy head pull towards the end of the release. Would benefit from working at a higher tempo where he can gain momentum down the mound. The secondary infielder displayed a wide base when fielding with somewhat soft hands. Limited on balls up the middle and to the back hand, but showed good grit by diving to knock a ball down and make a plan on a ball in the 5/6 hole. During BP, he hit from a narrow stance with an open front side. Showed off decent hand speed with a level bat path. Looked to drive the ball back to the middle of the field. Execellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
