Michael Scarpa is a 2027 1B/LHP, OF with a 5-10 210 lb. frame from Saratoga, CA who attends Valley Christian Schools. Features a sturdy and physical build with strength throughout. Ran a 8.72 60-yd dash. At 1B, showed solid glove skill with avg. feet. His glove/hands work through the baseball well with present glove-to-hand quickness on DPs. Showed an accurate arm as well where he showed he can operate from different slots. At the plate, he sits in a taller stance. He uses a simple trigger where his foot gets down early as he loads the barrel into an upright launch position. Strong hands get the bat through on an uphill path with some above avg. bat speed. Showed a middle approach throughout his round with flashes of some developing pullside power. On the mound, he uses a simple delivery. Has a smaller knee lift that works more tall/fall down the mound. Arm action was shorter in the back and up to a normal ¾ slot. Finishes taller at landing. Repeats well and pounded the strike zone with a mid 70s fastball. Mixed in a slurvy breaking ball in the mid 60s.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
