Trace Murchison is a 2027 OF/3B with a 5-4 125 lb. frame from Antelope, CA who attends Westpark. Features a smaller build with athleticism present. Ran a 7.94 60-yard dash. Worked out on the infield and in the outfield. Athleticism was apparent in the outfield. Used it to time up feet into the catch point. Caught the ball well on a consistent basis. Short arm action produced accurate throws frequently. More arm strength should come as the frame continues to develop. Displayed the ability to get around balls well on the dirt. Hands worked through hops well. Transferred cleanly into loose arm action throws when the body control was maintained. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a slightly open stance with a narrow base and low hand setup. Displayed a linear path through the zone with good bat to ball skills. Has the ability to use the entire field well. Creates some loft within the swing. Getting the lower half more involved and adding more strength would help generate more power. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
