Charlie Crabbe is a 2028 RHP/1B/3B with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Dover, MA who attends Belmont Hill. Medium, square shouldered frame with present strength proportioned well throughout frame. Ran a 7.85 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, full hands over head delivery at start, works with a compact arm action through the backside out to a mid three-quarters release point. Stays on line coming down the mound, fastball topped out at 80 mph with running life to it, shows comfort working to glove side. Worked heavily off of fastball early on, mixed curveball and continued to improve, lower slot on release, sweeping shape at 64 mph. Showed changeup late in outing, can incorporate it more, up to 67 mph with action; able to induce ground ball contact when down int he zone. Infield actions play on a corner, methodical footwork, will continue to refine actions and release on throws. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and even stance at the plate; full swing path through the zone, tends to open front side early, strength plays in swing when squared, comfort working to the pull side. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
